Fighting for Eastbrook
I’m standing to be your new Local Councillor for Eastbrook as I want to do all I can to make our council work for all of us not just the privileged few.
I live in Southwick, go to the Impulse Leisure gym and watch football at the Romans Pub, so I’m close to what’s happening here and easily contactable.
Labour stands for fair & decent housing, greater investment in the NHS & Education, decent jobs for decent pay, reducing the growing pollution in our local environment and making sure our local services work for the people not corporate profits.
Locally we offer fresh ideas on housing, open spaces and community needs. Our transparent and energetic policies are aimed at reducing child poverty, avoiding homelessness, eliminating avoidable deaths of the elderly (Adur is a national high spot) and planning infrastructure for the next generation.
Many of us are being squeezed by the Tory’s cruel austerity program. This area needs Labour councillor’s to help end the hardship and injustice of austerity and make this wonderful area work for everybody.
I have been a Parish Councillor, a foster-parent and a Samaritan. I’ve run my own businesses and have grown children struggling to make their way in these tough times, so I know how difficult managing finances can be.
A local councillor is first and foremost here to serve their electorate - I will be getting out and speaking to the people of Eastbrook to hear their thoughts and find out what they need. Then do my best to help them get it.
Please help me by telling me what we can do for you.
So please vote for David Balfe in the Local Council Elections on the 3rd May, so I can help make Eastbrook an even better place to live.
For the many, not the few.
