Joe has lived in Gaisford Ward for a number of years and has a real understanding of the issues facing local people.
A passionate, caring individual, Joe loves Worthing and feels that it is changing for the better but that it is still being held back by the Tory- run council.
Joe works at Worthing hospital and has a great interest in health policy. He is also interested in planned developments in the town, in particular Teville Gate which is right next to the ward boundary and will have a big impact.
Worthing is now benefitting from the presence of a Labour councillor in Beccy Cooper who is really holding the Tories to account and Joe feels that it is so important for more Labour Councillors to join Beccy on the Council to talk about the importance of social housing and to make sure a left wing voice is heard to oppose stunts like fining beggars and removing council tax benefit from the poorest members of society.
Joe has two children who go to local schools and he supports the mighty Worthing FC.
