Councillor Lavinia O’Connor
Councillor for Southlands Ward, Shoreham-by-Sea
Councillor O’Connor was elected in May 2018. Recently retired, as a full time Trade Union officer for PCS Union, she was previously a civil servant for almost 30 years at the Inland Revenue and Home Office and has always been an active Trade Union representative and campaigner.
Now, she serves on Adur’s Licensing Committee, the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Joint Staff Committee and is the local Labour Party Whip. She is a life-long socialist and believes that, with the present leadership, our manifesto and its inclusive vision for the future, this is the only way forward for the country.
Lavinia is committed to ensuring the people of Southlands have a voice on the council and hopes to raise the standards of people’s lives, especially those of children.
Surgeries are held every 3rd Thursday from 11am – 1pm at Milward Court, Day Centre, Wilmot Rd, Shoreham by Sea, BN43 6BU
