Candidate for Peverel ward, Adur District Council
Anne has lived in Adur since 1981, was born and brought up in Shoreham and Southwick, and retired five years ago. She has been a Labour voter all her life and became a Labour member when she gave up full-time employment, after many years working as an accounts manager.
Having been very busy within the local Labour team since retirement, Anne was elected Adur Branch Treasurer and, in 2019, an Adur ward manager. She has been active on the doorstep during Local and General Election campaigns, and also speaking to residents about their concerns during our Listening campaign.
Anne says: “I will support quality solutions to the pressing local need for decent and affordable housing, for a healthy, clean environment, affordable public transport, and more facilities for children and young people.”
As a Labour Councillor, Anne says she will bring an ethos of hard work and an ongoing determination to support residents in their everyday lives, and will work for you all to help achieve these goals.
