Dan believes strongly in public service and the role of the state in supporting the community. He has taught for twelve years in Sussex and inner London schools. As a history teacher and head of year, he ensures that the needs of some of the most vulnerable young people in society are met. He cares deeply about education and ensuring that all children are given the tools they need to succeed.
As a father of two young children, Dan believes passionately in maintaining the local Children and Family Centres, from which both of his daughters have benefitted. He is committed to ensuring the vital services they provide continue to be embedded in our community.
Dan has lived in Shoreham since returning to Sussex in 2019. He is a committed party member who believes in making a real difference to his local area and was recently selected as his local Labour Party branch secretary.
With strong family ties to Eastbrook and in particular, Southwick, Dan feels that he wants to give something back to an area that has played such a major part in his life.
