Councillor Henna Chowdhury
Councillor for Gaisford Ward and candidate for Tarring (County Council)
Henna was elected for Gaisford in May 2019 and has since served on committees for licensing and customer services.
She is fluent in three languages so acts as an interpreter for health services. She is a member of the Monthly Islamic Talk Group, a Muslim forum for education and awareness and has provided education and training. As the mother of three daughters who were born and raised in Worthing, she has witnessed the deterioration of our schools, our health services , our local community facilities , our roads and our refuse disposal, becoming very aware that something is wrong and we need change.
Not all decisions that affect local residents are made in Worthing. Many are made by County Council so now Henna has determined to move there as well to make sure your voice is heard at every level.
Her surgeries are usually held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, at Community House, 25 Dominion Road, BN14 8JZ. During Covid, please feel free to telephone or email.
