As well as her English degree, Sharon completed NVQs in early years care and education and learning support and has experience in youth work, community outreach and teaching. She is committed to lifelong learning and working for equal access to genuinely inclusive education.

Sharon will work hard to make sure local people are heard. She believes people must be involved and listened to before decisions are made, and that change must bring benefit to the community.

As a local resident with young children, Sharon is invested in the local challenges facing our environment and community, in particular those presented by the development of New Monks Farm and the provision and maintenance of social housing.

More recently, she has become concerned with the threat to the local Children and Family Centres that so many people rely upon. Indeed the family centre is an attraction to our Lancing High Street and Sharon is keen to work hard to see it progress toward its vibrant and dynamic potential.
