Steve Gilbert
Candidate for Southwick division, West Sussex County Council
Steve has lived in Shoreham for nearly 26 years. His two children grew up and went to school in the area.
For most of that time Steve worked locally for an environmental charity, and is currently a freelance environmental consultant. He believes passionately that a healthy environment is key to a healthy and successful community, in ways ranging from better and more sustainable management of our highways, to the maintenance and improvement of green spaces that people can enjoy. He strongly supports our public services, which he believes should be properly funded and be seen as a crucial part of our society, not an add-on that can be cut or closed on a political whim.
Steve says ‘I want to take a strong voice for Southwick into the West Sussex County Council debating chamber. I will fight for a better future and support local people and local businesses for the good of the whole community’.
