Thank you to all who voted Labour on 7 May allowing us to continue our work for you as the leadership of Adur District Council. We became the majority group on Adur two years ago with 17 councillors. Following these elections we continue to have 17 thanks to your votes for Lee Cowen, David Devoy, Dan Flower, Jeremy Gardner and Dave Lovelidge in wards across the district, from Lancing to Fishersgate. We also won seats at the County Council. Adrienne Lowe was elected as county councillor for Shoreham North and Nigel Corston for Southwick. These were wins in previously Conservative held seats.
Our majority on Adur means we can continue our work in listening to our communities, bringing investment to our district, supporting those most affected by the high cost of living, homes and community facilities, and supporting our environment.
The largest opposition group was made up of eight Conservatives two years ago and is now six Reform candidates.
