Councillor John Turley
Councillor for Gaisford ward, Worthing Borough Council and County Councillor for Worthing Pier
John has lived in East Worthing for 22 years and his children were born and grew up in the area. He worked in the insurance industry for 37 years and is accustomed to handling a busy workload. John feels his experience in the workplace and local knowledge will enable him to be an effective councillor for the town and local residents.
John says: “Gaisford is becoming an increasingly diverse and vibrant ward and it has been exciting to see modern new businesses choose to set up in the area in recent years. If elected I promise to work hard to ensure the residents and businesses of Gaisford receive any support they need, both as an individual councillor and with the growing Labour Group on the Council.”
Having supported Councillor Henna Chowdhury in her work on behalf of the people of Gaisford, he has a good understanding of the issues faced by local residents and is keen to continue this work as a fully-fledged councillor.
