Debs Stainforth is a local mum living in Shoreham with her family and pets. She was elected a Southlands councillor five years ago. She has been re-elected to continue to serve alongside Labour councillor Dan Flower.

Debs has helped set up a number of projects to help people. These include mutual aid during the pandemic, the Gateway Hub the Circular Space and the Adur repair café. She’s been standing up for our tenants at the council meetings and bringing their experiences of poor housing into the council chamber.

Debs works hard for Southland residence in need of food and utility bill support, as well as those facing homelessness, living in damp or disrepair or in temporary housing. She provides assistance with school uniforms, clothing and other practical necessities. She played a key role in securing £5000 with Adur East Lions for energy cost relief and she regularly directs individuals to the housing support fund for further assistance.
